No Stress Dress

Dress: Topshop, Bag: Cult Gaia, Shoes: Castaner

I've always been into dresses but never as much as I have this Summer. I'm living in them - midi, mini, maxi, polka dot, printed - you name it I'll be wearing it. With temperatures hitting a ridiculous 34 degrees in London of late, any clothes at all are too many clothes and so the only option has been to throw on a slip dress and sandals for fear of turning into a puddle of my former self. They're just so easy too. No faffing about what to go with it, just throw it on and grab your basket and you're done. No stress (apart from maybe the fact that you can't step foot onto public transport without sweating from every orifice but that's another story...).

I used to be a firm mini dress enthusiast but I've definitely branched out recently into something a little longer. I'm not sure if it's due to the fact I'm approaching the ripe old age of 30 in a few short years, or the fact I've just discovered a fair few longer vintage gems in my Mama's wardrobe but either way I'm loving midi's and maxi's at the moment. I mean don't get me wrong I still enjoy a sixties style bum skimmer now and again, but basically my go to outfit right now is the above. My Cult Gaia basket in hand (I literally never put it down, OB-SESSED) and my Castaner espadrilles on foot, with a midi in between - am I French yet?! Espadrilles and a basket are the summer dress counterpart essentials; whether long, short or something in between there isn't a variation that wouldn't look great with this duo.

So, with this in mind, I thought I'd put together a round up for you guys of all of my favourite dresses out there right now - there really is something for everyone.
