Mario Badescu Facial Spray
Before purchasing this I was all like 'a facial spray? Who needs a facial spray?...' but let me tell you since temperatures have been sky rocketing to a scorching 34 degrees in London of late, the question is who DOESN'T need a facial spray?! If I had a pound for every time I've uttered the phrase 'I'm so hot' in the last fortnight i'd be a millionaire. Not gonna lie there had been a strong consideration of hiring a personal fanner (must be a job right?)... alas, I instead opted to bring Mario's delightful facial spray on board. It's so cooling and refreshing, it smells amazing (aloe, herbs and rosewater no less) and it comes everywhere with me. Possibly the best £7 I've spent this year so far...
Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift
Not only a firm favourite with me this month, but my boyfriend is pretty obsessed with this little nifty eye treat too. Over the past month before bed there has been a lot of 'shall we do the nice eye thing?' from him which must mean it's a great prod right? You can use it whenever you fancy for a quick boost but I (and Elliott, lol) tend to use it before bed after cleaning my face for a lovely cooling bag buster. So far, so good!
The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% (AKA Brightening Moisturiser)
Now I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about The Ordinary, mainly because Ascorbyl Phosphate what now?! As a non beauty expert I felt like I didn't know where to start tbh so obviously went in for a safe moisturising hydrator. And let me tell you about said moisturiser - basically just a really good (and really cheap) hydrating and brightening moisturising cream that is really light and also fits into my make-up bag ideally for on the go too! The tube doesn't last that long but it's also only four English pounds so hey, I'll take it. I'm really into The Ordinary at the moment and have been using a few of their products, including other bits from sister brands within the Deciem group too so I feel like next time I should probably review something a bit more technical/ specialist for a deeper dive, but definitely fast becoming a firm fave.
Aveda Dry Remedy
The roots of my hair get greasy quite easily however the ends are the total opposite. Possibly something to do with the the amount of dry shampoo I use IDk (emoji eyes), but this little bottle has been working wonders on my ends. You only need to rub a couple of drops through the ends of your damp or dry locks daily to give them a nice little moisturise. The only problem - it smells so good I sometimes get carried away and end up resembling a chip pan... a little definitely goes a long way!
Armani Lip Maestro
I'm totally obsessed with this. It's the perfect shade of red, has a lovely velvety matte (and most importantly IMO non-sticky) texture and it stays put allll day so no fear of that mid-afternoon Krispy Kreme playing havoc with your lips. The nice little angled brush makes it so nice and easy to apply too - winner!
So that's a whistle stop tour of my June faves and you can shop them all directly below this post for ease! I've got some lovely stuff to tell you all about in July too so stay tuned!
