If I had a pound for every changing room mirror and lighting situation I moaned about I'd be a very rich gal. The funny thing is, I always think, shouldn't changing rooms be providing the best possible light and mirror situations in order to make you look like your best self, thus persuading you in to buying all of the clothes, no?? Just a thought retailers... Anyway, why put yourself through the misery of 'do I really look that bad?' (btw the answer is no, you don't, who is shining a spotlight on you 24/7 or at all for that matter...) when you can just have everything delivered to you door and try it on in the comfort of your own home with great lighting and pieces you already own? Enter Your Fitting Room. If you watched my Instagram stories at around 8pm last Tuesday then you will have seen, in action, that I gave the brand new fashion delivery service a whirl, so thought I'd follow up with alllll the deets from my experience for you guys.
The concept is basically order online and have it delivered to your door to try on at home and style with pieces you already have, before deciding what to keep and what to send back. Easy right? A doddle I'd say. As once of the most indecisive people you will ever meet this is perfect for when you just can't decide between that spotty dress, top and jumpsuit because do you really need them all? Probably not, but you definitely need to try them all just to work out which one works best for you. It's also ideal for ordering multiple sizes. I'm in between a 10 and 12 and depending on the item of clothing/ brand/ what mood I'm in I'll want to order a diff size so this is perfect for just ordering both without the dreaded faff of postal returning. It's a really easy process too, you just shop on their website as normal, adding whatever you fancy to your basket, and then at the checkout you can opt for a delivery time slot that suits you and everything will be delivered to your door, on a snazzy rail no less, ready for you to have a fashion show at your leisure. You have about half an hour to try your haul on before the lovely delivery gal (or guy) returns to collect the pieces you don't want and take payment for the pieces you absolutely need it your life. Done.
