So I promised you some Summer sun beauty faves for this months round up and here they are - my key holiday must haves.
Aesop Sage & Zinc Facial Hydrating Cream
Aside from any other lovely things I have to say about this delightful face cream, it smells A-MAZING! As i'm sure you're all guessing by now, I love a good moisturiser, after all it's the base of your face and it's even more important on holiday with the harsh sunlight, pools and sea exposure to your skin. I am also a avid Aesop fan so thought I'd give this Sage & Zinc cream a go and with it having an SPF 15, the perfect packing pal for my recent sunny getaway to Carvoeiro in The Algarve. It's super hydrating but also feels light on your skin making it particularly ideal for holiday as the last feeling you want is cloggy. its perfect for all skin types and i'll be using it well into the Autumn/ Winter too (if i can be a little less heavy handed with it that is...)
Aveda Protective Hair Veil
So when you plan to jet off into the sunshine and consider your beauty essentials the first thing you think of is sun protector for your skin, but a hair protector is probably pretty far down (if at all) on your 'to pack' list. Am I right? Well, it would usually be for me but recently my hair has felt in pretty bad condition so I wanted something to protect it and make sure it didn't go crispy in the heat...queue Aveda's Protective Hair Veil which is basically like suncream for your hair, but in a spray of course!
Hawaiian Tropic Protective Sun Lotion and After Sun Coconut Body Butter
Hawaiian Tropic is just Summer in a bottle (or jar...) - the coconut-ty goodness gets me every time and it's definitely a fave sun protection/ soother. For the sun cream I chose SPF 15 as I have quite tanned skin anyway and also had just been a way a few weeks prior so already had a base tan to build on. It feels super light and non sticky on your skin and is also water resistant too! Then the exotic coconut after sun body butter is perfect for soothing sun kissed (/lobster) skin post a day of baking in the heat.
Ouai wave spray
From the first spray of this mist I was hooked. I have been wanting to try Ouai for ages now and thought the perfect opportunity would be this little travel-sized wave spray for creating those beachy waves in the evenings. It's perfect for my thin flat hair as it's pretty weightless and doesn't feel cloggy, adding the perfect texture and volume. My general hair look is 'a bit of a mess' so this little spritz is the ideal potion for creating that perfectly undone, mesy look. Also, it smells SO good!!
Just a few of my little holiday heroes from my recent trip. I already have a couple of reccies for September that I just can't wait to share with you guys...stay tuned!
