Jeans and jacket: Levis, Faux Fur jacket: & Other Stories, Boots: Zara, Roll neck: Marks & Spencer, Bag: Simon Miller
This dream duo was Saturdays outfit and I absolutely love a suit, so why would a denim one be any different?!
Can you believe that these jeans and jacket were't bought together, as a set? They are literally MFEO and the blues are almost identical. Yes, they're both Levi's, but the jeans are vintage from Beyond Retro whilst the jacket is new season that I was kindly gifted from the lovely folk at Levi's. Anywayyy, this is an outfit I've had in my head for a while now, pretty simple but effective I'd say. I know not everyone is a fan of the old double denim but I happen to love a Canadian Tuxedo. I think it works so well come rain or shine and can be layered with so many different pieces over and under. I've gone for a Seventies nod with this get up rather than the assumed nineties look everyone instantly associates DD with, by adding the beige roll neck, chunky brown boots and faux fur jacket over the top. Come warmer months i'll be switching the roll neck for a cream silky cami top and the chunky boots for some strappy sandals and voila, a whole new look but with the same two key pieces.
I'm having such a love affair with denim at the moment, I mean I've always been a fan but it's all I'm wearing lately. it's a wardrobe constant I guess, as good in the winter as it is in the summer and comes in so many different shapes and forms. Levi's has always been my go-to brand for good denim, from jeans to denim shorts, jackets and dungarees I've got 'em all and I'm making them work hard in my wardrobe. So here's so more double denim looks over the coming months - I may never top Britney and Justin circa 2001 but I'll bloody well give it a good go!
