Top: Dirty Disco, Trousers: Uniqlo, Espadrilles: Viscata, Bag: Shein, Sunglasses: Mango
I never really used to be one for a crop top. For some reason I always feel a bit exposed baring my midriff (although fully happy to wear a bum skimming mini dress...) in the UK (mainly because it’s bloody freezing 362 days of the year) but when Dirty Disco sent me this frilly square neck dream I couldn’t wait to make use. Thankfully the sun decided to show its face last week in London with temps rising to a crazy 28 degrees (insert emoji shock face) so the perfect opportunity to style up this super cute crop.
You have probably heard (read) me mention before that when I’m putting outfits together i’m always thinking about balance. I love balance in an outfit, well in everything really (apart from my diet lolz) and as this crop is a pretty cropped crop, I knew I wanted to pair with trousers rather than leg baring hot pants - although it was definitely hot enough! I recently picked up these khaki uniqlo trousers in the sale for about £15. I’d been after some khaki wide leg trousers for a while and found these online on one of my late night phone shopping rampages I like to go on. The only size they had left was a size too small but I ordered them anyway hoping for the best and well, it was meant to be because they fit like a glove and are such a flattering cut. I love how high they come up on the waist too. I’m having a bit of a moment with Uniqlo right now, I mean I’m always a fan but there is SO much I could fill my basket with in there currently.
Anyway bit of a ramble but also wanted to mention that I shot these photos with Bekky (the first time we have worked together and the first time I’ve properly shot with a photographer that isn’t already a pal) and I absolutely love how they turned out! Bekky completely knows my vibe, loves to shoot on film and is one v. talented gal so hoping to do more together in the future. Watch this space :)
