I can't get enough midi skirts in my life at the moment, i'm a woman obsessed. I think they are such a flattering style and they make me feel a bit grown-up and polished, like I have really thought through my outfit long and hard (whereas in reality it's literally a case of 'tried and tested a thousand times, know it works scenario' every time). I'm a pear shape - i have a massive arse and a pretty small waist so a high-waisted midi skirt paired with a crop top is quite possibly one of the most flattering ensembles i can sport. I feel good in this kind of combo and well, when an outfit makes you feel that way you have to absolutely run with it. I'm actually currently planning a separate post all about how clothes and getting dressed makes you feel so keep your eyes peeled for that coming soon. Anyway, as I've been wearing and essentially road testing so many midi skirts of late, I though it only fair I put together a post rounding them all up for you in once place.
I had had my beady eye on this Topshop number for a while and they were kind enough to send it my way to style up. I actually have so many ideas for it and I think it will be a great piece to see me through to the colder months too as it's not too summery and will look great with ankle boots. I love the tiny multi-coloured polka dots and the subtle split with buttons at the top so you can be as racy as you fancy! Just one of the many (mostly polka dot!) midi skirts in my current line up.
