I feel like I've had a rollercoaster of emotions over the last 24 hours never mind the last week, and so instead of letting everything get on top of me and be worrying too far ahead, from now on I'm going to try to just take each day as it comes and appreciate the little wins. Even though i've pretty much been self-isolating for the last week, yesterday felt like it hit me like a ton of bricks. Everything just feels so uncertain and to be quite honest I'm feeling a bit like a spare part with so much time (all of my time) at home and not a lot of paid work coming in. Having said that though, I am enjoying creating content at home as and when and having the time to write regular posts on here.
Yesterday afternoon Brett and I went for an afternoon walk to clear our heads and get some much needed fresh air, blue skies and exercise (obvs keeping our distance from any other walkers). It really did do wonders for the way I was feeling and I came home feeling a lot clearer and brighter, and appreciative of a crisp sunny day and fresh air. So today I am appreciating a tidy flat, starting a new book and doing some yoga on the balcony because at the moment we all need to remember that it really is the little things that we need to be thankful for right now.
Slowly getting my head around a new normal, one day at a time.
Hope you're all keeping safe, well and sane :)
Rachael
