So as I mentioned last week on my Instagram I'm going to be doing various staycations over the next few weeks and writing about each one in the hope to inspire you all with some lovely UK places to visit. Whilst we are in a time where we may not be able to travel far and wide, I want to shine a light on the amazing places we have on our doorsteps, or just a train/ car/ bus ride away.
First up was the wonderful Artist residence in Pimlico, London (press stay) - somewhere very close to home for me as I live in London, however a very different neighbourhood to explore! I live in East London so it's not too often that I'm in South and it was a breath of fresh air to explore a new area. We hadn't realised how much we needed a change of scene until we got one, and even if it is just the other side of London we really felt like we had a break. London is huge with so many different parts to it so even if you do live here I'd really recommend stepping outside of your neighbourhood and local haunts, and being a tourist in your own city! I have stayed at Artist residence in Brighton a few times but this was my first visit to the London one and it did not disappoint!
We stayed in the club suite and it was an absolute delight! I'm still not over that headboard! The bed was huge and super comfy and Brett commented on how soft the sheets were so thought it best to note that too! There was a huge stand alone tub in the bathroom which I definitely made use of, and also a massive shower stocked up with all the Bramley products you could need. We were welcomed with fresh cookies in our room and a welcome drink, which was very welcome indeed. The room was definitely sizeable, complete with a lounge area including a huge sofa and two arm chairs - all v. comfy I can confirm. It was the perfect little treat for a night away and the breakie was amazing too!
Hope you enjoyed the first instalment in my staycation series and next up is a trip to Whitby so stay tuned!
