Staying at Port Hotel, Eastbourne

Last weekend we were invited to check out the new Port hotel in Eastbourne and I have been so excited to visit! It has only just recently opened and from viewing images on both their Instagram and website I was already a big fan before I even arrived. The interiors are just beautiful and so very my style - lots of beige and neutrals and everything is so well thought through and considered. Six of their bedrooms overlook the beach and Eastbourne pier which is just the nicest view to look out to - especially when the sun is shining as it was for us last weekend very fortunately! We stayed in the Studio Apartment which is their largest room and it is absolutely stunning. From the amazing views to the insanely comfy super-king bed and the double sinked bathroom, this room is so luxe. They have thought of almost everything with the lovely touches like a record player and records (yes, we did dance to Bill Withers at midnight after a few glasses of Rosè!) but the only thing missing for me (an avid dressing gown fan) was a robe and slippers so be sure to take your own if you're as keen as me. They also have dog friendly rooms too which is so great if you'd like to take your furry pal too!

When we arrived on the Saturday afternoon, the lovely Port team gave us a picnic hamper lunch to take to the beach - full of home made bread, meats and cheese. It was such a lovely start to our staycation! We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday evening and there was a lovely buzzy atmosphere as well as really attentive staff and of course delicious food! The mini plates are great for the indecisive like me and for sampling a few different dishes. The heritage tomatoes with Stracciatella was a personal fave of mine! We had our breakfast delivered to our room the next morning and ate it sat in our bay window with the sunshine pouring in whilst looking out to sea - bliss!

There is lots to do in the area however we didn't venture very far as the weather was so lovely we just wanted to relax on the beach. I would definitely recommend getting up at sunrise for a dip in the sea - it most definitely wakes you up and is pretty quiet at that time too. It is unheard of for me to be up before 10am on a Sunday usually (haha) but I absolutely loved it! On the way home we also stopped at the beautiful market town of Lewes which is so quaint and full of independent and antique shops - perfect for a Sunday mooch!

We had such a wonderful stay at Port - I can't recommend it more! If you have any more questions on anything just shout :)
